The G80HS has a resolution of 6144 x 3456, which the review notes slightly undersells the monitor's advantage because a 4K monitor is actually 3840 x 2160 and does not offer 4,000 pixels across either axis. The sharpness payoff is immediate: the Windows desktop, games, and high-quality photos all look sharper. The only content that won't see much improvement is video, because very few video sources exceed 4K resolution, according to WIRED.

Software Compatibility and Compromises
To achieve playable frame rates, users can play games at a lower resolution such as 4K, and modern image upscaling can make up some of the difference. But if you have to play at 4K or lower, WIRED noted, you've lost the 6K monitor's greatest strength.
