Jackery 2000 Plus Power Station Discounted for Prime Day Provides Home Backup Against Summer Storms

Summer storms bring the risk of power outages, but a reliable backup battery can keep essential appliances running. According to a WIRED review, the Jackery 2000 Plus portable power station, once a top pick in their best power station guide, is now available at a discount during Amazon Prime Day 2026.

Key Features and Performance

The Jackery 2000 Plus offers a 2,042-watt-hour capacity that can be doubled or tripled by adding additional battery packs. In testing, the actual capacity consistently matched Jackery's claims, and the unit had no problem powering 3,000-watt devices such as an electric kettle. It can be charged quickly via a wall socket, and for extended outages or camping, it functions as a solar generator using Jackery's SolarSaga 200-watt solar panel, achieving about 70 percent charge in a single day.

Comparison to Competitors

The Jackery 2000 Plus has been succeeded in WIRED's guide by the Bluetti Elite 300, which packs more power into a smaller form factor. However, the Bluetti costs $200 more even on sale and is not expandable. The Jackery's expandability and lower price make it a compelling option. WIRED notes that at this sale price, it "trumps everything else we've tested."

Feature Jackery 2000 Plus Bluetti Elite 300
Base capacity 2,042 Wh Higher (not specified)
Expandable Yes (add battery packs) No
Price (sale) On sale for Prime Day $200 more than Jackery sale price
Top pick status Former top pick Current top pick

Practical Considerations

As with any power station, the fan runs noticeably — WIRED measured sound at about 30 decibels. The unit weighs 62 pounds and features indented handles and wheels to aid mobility. The covers on the carport, inputs, and expansion port are described as annoyingly tight, "like pry them open with a screwdriver tight." The Wi-Fi connection is 2.4 GHz only. The warranty is three years, extendable to five years by registering with Jackery.

WIRED also spotted other Jackery deals but notes they have not tested those products. However, the brand's reputation is solid, and they report never having tested a Jackery product with serious issues.

For those preparing for summer storm season, the Jackery 2000 Plus offers a versatile and expandable backup power solution at a reduced Prime Day price, balancing capacity, solar compatibility, and affordability against newer competitors.
