Data Standards for Humanoid Robotics: The Missing Infrastructure for Physical AI

A new article argues that data standards for humanoid robotics are becoming foundational infrastructure for Physical AI. The authors, who are developing ISO/WD 26264-1, highlight that humanoid robot data must preserve physical coherence to be reusable, and that non-cumulative data is a key bottleneck. Standards can address this by making embodied experience interpretable, shareable, traceable, and reusable.
