Logistics Fairfield Maritime Japan secures long-term Neste charter for pair of ice-class MR tankers
Fairfield Maritime Japan has secured a long-term charter from Finnish refiner Neste covering two ice-class MR product and chemical tankers. The 50,000 dwt vessels will be built at HD Hyundai in South Korea and are scheduled for delivery in the first and second quarters of 2029. The ice-class 1A specification ensures year-round access to Neste's Porvoo refinery under Baltic winter conditions.
Logistics Wagenborg and Carisbrooke Team Up for Ice-Class Newbuilds in China
Wagenborg Shipping and Carisbrooke Shipping have formed a partnership for an ice-class multipurpose newbuilding programme in China. Up to ten 7,400 dwt ice-class 1A vessels will be built at Dajin Heavy Industries, with first deliveries scheduled from Q3 2027. Carisbrooke will handle technical and crew management, while Wagenborg takes commercial management and chartering, strengthening their Baltic and European shortsea positions.
