Asian Stock Markets End Mixed as Kospi and Nikkei Hit Record Highs; European Indices Trade Negative

Asian stock market indices ended on a mixed note with South Korea's Kospi jumping 2.2% to a record closing high of 9,064 and Japan's Nikkei 225 climbing 1.6% to an all-time closing high of 71,053. In contrast, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 1.6% and China's Shanghai Composite slipped 0.4%. Major European indices were trading negative, with London's FTSE 100 sliding over 1% while France's CAC 40 and Germany's DAX remained flat.
