Kazakhstan-based offshore marine service provider Caspian Offshore Construction (COC) has acquired a new anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel, the Caspian Yili, from Sinopacific Engineering & Contracting (SPEC). The acquisition marks the first vessel in the SPA90 series to join COC's fleet, according to a report from Splash247.
Vessel Specifications and Capabilities
The Caspian Yili is currently under construction at Siying Shipyard. It is designed with 90 tonnes of bollard pull, DP2 capability, and diesel-electric propulsion, making it COC's largest vessel to date. The SPA90 design is intended for offshore operations including towing, anchor-handling, field support, subsea operations, and offshore construction activities.
