India has strengthened its LPG supply resilience by ramping up domestic production capacity and employing effective diplomacy during global energy disruptions, according to Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Speaking at the Viksit Bharat Conclave 2026 in New Delhi, Puri detailed the country's progress in ensuring uninterrupted cooking gas supply for over 33 crore LPG consumers, as reported by Akashvani / News on AIR.

Puri stated that India's domestic LPG production capacity was increased from 35 thousand metric tonnes per day to 54 thousand metric tonnes per day in a short period.
