Tata Power Renewables has launched its Centre for Renewable Energy Analytics, Monitoring & Scheduling (CREAMS) at the company’s Trombay plant in Mumbai on August 20, according to Business-Today. The publication described the facility as among the most advanced centralised renewable energy monitoring hubs in the country.

Integrated Digital Command Centre

Business-Today reported that CREAMS serves as Tata Power Renewables’ integrated digital command centre, providing real-time monitoring, analytics, forecasting, scheduling and performance optimisation of renewable energy assets spread across multiple states. The facility offers a unified view of the company’s solar and wind energy portfolio, enabling operators to track performance round the clock and take corrective measures whenever required. Operating through a robust digital infrastructure, the centre provides 24x7 surveillance and operational support for renewable assets, reflecting the growing role of technology and data-driven decision-making in India’s clean energy transition.

Design Objectives

The centralised platform has been designed to:

  • Maximise power generation
  • Improve asset reliability
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Reduce operational losses

By combining data analytics with advanced monitoring systems, the control room helps enhance operational efficiency across geographically dispersed renewable energy projects, an official told the publication, as reported by Business-Today.

Data Flows and Asset Health

Officials said the facility continuously processes a vast volume of operational data generated by solar and wind installations every day. The information is analysed in real time to support energy forecasting, grid scheduling and asset health monitoring. CREAMS also helps identify performance deviations quickly, allowing teams to initiate timely interventions and improve plant availability, Business-Today reported.
