KUFOS Hosts Blue India 2026: Boosting India's Blue Economy

The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) is set to host the international conference and expo, Blue India 2026, from June 4 to 6 at its Panangad campus. Themed “Blue Research – Blue Innovation – Blue Future,” the event will emphasize the role of research and innovation in strengthening India’s blue economy, marine resources, and fisheries sector.

Roy D. Palmer, President of the Association of International Seafood Professionals, Australia, will serve as Conference Chair. The conference will be inaugurated on June 4 by N. Felix, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Tamil Nadu. The valedictory session on June 6 will be inaugurated by Kerala Fisheries Minister V. E. Abdul Gafoor.

"The Blue India 2026 conference is a pivotal event for advancing India's blue economy through innovation and collaboration," said Roy D. Palmer.
